HP Hewlett Packard 7440A ColorPro Plotter
For sale- an HP Hewlett Packard 7440A ColorPro Plotter as pictured.
To my shock and amazement some of the old plotter pens I had in storage still work, maybe not great but good enough to print a test plot as pictured.
The colors might not be in the right places, I just randomly loaded the included carousel.
But the plotter does demonstrably load the paper and switches out the pens and produces what looks to me like the desired outcome of a demonstration plot, more or less.
The old pens are NOT included only because I have more of these things to test.
What is included is the very proprietary power supply.
So other than new pens and maybe some software driver(s) you should perhaps be ready to go
.
I have a copy (not an original) of the manual but it is ONLY included if you Buy It Now (fifteen bucks to xerox it at Staples!)

As you may still be able to see there is a bit of residual magic marker on the front left corner of the plotter, an inventory number or something.
I have scrubbed that to the point that it is pretty toned down from what it was, enough so that I forgot to take a close up picture of it.
You will probably want to clean the pinch rollers as I only wiped the exterior plastic, I did nothing in that regard with the paper path.
Will leave that to you.
