This is a collectible item and would be a cute display as is. If you were going to use it for a child I would sand down and replace coarse hair or yarn parts. It is sturdy and would work for either occasion. There is a chip in the runner and shows in a picture. As stated above the yarn is aged. There is rust on the little metal piece on the Bridal.
