ANTIQUE CHILD'S CARVED WOOD ROCKING HORSE / LEATHER SADDLE STIRRUPS GLASS EYES

Description

Offered for auction a "VINTAGE / ANTIQUE CHILD'S HAND CARVED WOOD ROCKING HORSE W/TOOLED LEATHER SADDLE / CAST IRON STIRRUPS & BROWN GLASS EYES".  This Rocking Horse is handmade, possibly between 1910-1940.  It has the original paint and tooled leather saddle.  It is accented with brown glass eyes, cast iron stirrups and beautiful wood carved mane.  This horse is in good pre-owned, used condition with normal wear consistent with age. The ears are intact with no chipped edges, only normal paint loss.  There are scrapes, scratches and age separation fill-ins.  The tail shows some thinning and I am not certain it is actual horse hair or a facsimile.  Dimensions: Overall Length of rocker ...33", Height to top of horse's mane ...24 1/4", Depth of rocker at widest point...10 1/4".  There is aged patina and it has not had any major repairs.  It is solid, sturdy and offered "as is" with no returns or refunds.  The dolls pictured are for display only and not offered in this listing.
